Additional Information to Provide: I am waiting for my endorsement for the Texas license and not currently practicing. I was a clinical social worker for 10 years for a major medical center in Chicago and was also doing outpatient counseling for a psychiatric hospital. I provided individual, family, and group counseling. Issues related to adjustment to illness, coping with cancer, mood disorders and eating disorders were my specialties. Cognitive behavioral therapy is the method I have the most experience and training to provide, but I am developing other skills as I prepare to return to the workplace.
