Betty Ford Center Five Star Kids Program

Betty Ford Center Five Star Kids

The Five Star Kids program is a three day, psycho-educational program for kids ages 7-12 who know someone who has a problem with drugs and/or alcohol. During the three days, kids learn that the addiction in their family is not their fault, they are not alone, and it is their job to just be a kid.

Groups are offered throughout the year in Irving and in Fort Worth.

Financial assistance is available for all families in need. No family is ever turned away due to inability to pay.

D/FW Self-injury Support and Therapy Groups

The goals of the groups are emotional support, education, and intervention. It is a place where injurers can share what coping skills have been helpful to them in addition to learning new skills from a licensed therapist who has extensive experience working with those who have a history of self-harm. The groups are interactive and discussions about the underlying issues that contribute to self-injury are addressed. The groups are designed to be non-judgmental and a safe place to talk about this behavior. Interested participants MUST REGISTER for the groups by contacting Lori Vann, M.A., LPC-Supervisor either through e-mail or calling her. These are NOT OPEN GROUPS.
